Our History

Documendo originated from a desire to make it easy and cheap to create legal documents. It was difficult to compare prices and the existing templates were difficult to use. After trying the available solutions on his own, Documendo’s founder Anders Risager, saw an opportunity to create something better with a more streamlined and digital process.

Together with a partner, Anders developed an intelligent document solution that was supposed to build a bridge between the lawyer and the client. The solution was offered to lawyers as a white label solution, where the lawyer could choose which documents the client should be able to create, and it quickly became popular.

In order for the lawyer to become more effective immediately, it was important that updated content followed with a White label solution. Therefore, we entered into a strategic collaboration with a supplier, which via an editor network automated a large collection of documents in our solution. The document collection is updated when the law changes and ensures that the individual lawyer does not have to think about automating his own documents or worry about changes in the law.

We have continuously experienced an increase in the demand for the automation of offers and customer contracts, while we have been focused on the legal profession. That is why we have now launched a SaaS solution in Documendo’s own brand, where all types of offers and customer contracts can be created quickly and error-free.

Our many names

We often hear various attempts at pronouncing Documendo and see many variations of how it’s spelled. Most commonly, we are confused with the name ‘Documento‘, which is quite similar. Other times, we encounter ‘Dokumendo‘, and in rare cases, the more African-sounding ‘Dokomendo‘. Regardless of which name you use, it’s still the same intelligent document service behind it.

After experiencing how difficult and expensive it was to create a legal document, we saw an opportunity to make the entire process digital.

2018

First lawyer Solutions

We experienced great interest in our solution at a lawyers conference, and it quickly resulted in the first of many White label portals.

2020

Strategic Cooperation

By entering into a strategic partnership with a supplier that specifically targeted the legal and accounting sectors, it became much easier for individual lawyers to get started. Now, all law firms can create legal documents under their own brand without needing their own white-label portal.

The Investor

Someone thought that the solution was so interesting that they almost insisted on being allowed to buy into the company. This increased the opportunities for the business and ensured skilled resources for future growth.

CEO
Responsible for partnerships and software development. Anders has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, where he has been both a developer, project manager and department manager. Anders' most recent position was as an IT architect at Formpipe. Anders is trained as an IT engineer from DTU, specializing in software development and technology.

CSO

Responsible for commercial activities, Bent has over 25 years of professional experience, having worked as a consultant, salesperson, project manager, and sales director. Most recently, Bent held positions as sales director at Consit and Planorama. Bent originally holds qualifications in both business and theology, and has always found human dialogue fascinating.
